it is probable that with an increasing con-
sumption of water that Tytan Qid Dam will not overflow, to any
extent, except in years of heavy rainfall and therefore for the
purpose of this investigation the Catchment Area of the Oid
Tytam Dao is ignored.
The Catchment Area for the proposed Sea
Level Dan is therefore 1,252 acres direct Catchment and 320
acres already intercepted by Catchwaters.
The Das at the 100' level, now in course of
construction, also draws off this catchment area but as this
Dam is subsidiary to the proposed Dar it need not be investigat-
-ed separately.
The rainfall at the Übservatory has been
recorded for a number of years but the rainfall at fytam has
only been recorded since 1991,
The Coservatory returns from 1876 to 1903
are shewn on Sheet No. 1 and the fytar returns from 1991 to 1901
